A design firm knocked down a living room wall during a home renovation project in order to create an open-plan kitchen more suited to entertaining, it has been revealed.The homeowners in question hired the services of Brim Design in order to keep their 140 square metre home clean and simple while also opening up the space, TodayOnline.com reported.Since the couple entertain on a weekly basis, the designers knew that having a stylish public space would suit their needs, observed the website.It also noted that by knocking down a wall, Brim Design was able to create a stylish, U-shaped kitchen which enabled air and light to flow more easily through the home.Elsewhere, it was reported that a central island had been installed to link the cooking space to the dining and living room while also serving as a spot for serving meals and drinks to guests.Meanwhile, it was reported recently in the Los Altos Town Crier that a builder installed a special kitchen sink for vegetable prep at a state-of-the-art home project in order to make the room more functional.
