Apparently, it is the kitchen where the former Gossip Girl star plans to spend most of her time. My kitchen is the most important part of my home, the actress told Elle Dcor. Its really the family room. She added that her plan was to create a kitchen with as much style as her red carpet outfits. Design, whether its on your body or in your home is the same thing, she said. Its mixing different colors, different textures, and unexpected patternselements that you wouldnt often put together in an interesting way. Thats also why I look for things that you dont see everywhere, things that are elegant. And Im always looking for pieces that make a statement. She revealed she had already invested in a colorful centrepiece for her kitchen - a custom blue La Cornue range. At first I thought a fuchsia or oxblood, but the blue seems like a bold color thats still grounded, because it has a little bit of a grey undertone, she said. Its a jewel tone with a little storminess. The star revealed that she loves to cook, although she is expecting her mother to want to join in on the cooking action on her new range. Ill have to fight my mom for it, she said. She is an amazing chef.
