Consider a laminate kitchen worktop

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

We are spoilt for choice these days when it comes to kitchen worktop materials, from natural stone, quartz and granite, to glass, wood and ceramic. If you do not want to go for a high-end price when selecting a new kitchen worktop, consider opting for laminate. Laminate worktops have become very popular because, not only are they very attractive and come in a wide variety of color and designs but they are generally in a more affordable price range. Laminate worktops can look luxurious and classic like wood as well as elegant and modern like granite. They come in a variety of colors, hues, shades and designs. Although not strong as granite, laminate worktops represent a good compromise and are still hard wearing. As heat is a major factor in the wear and tear of kitchen counters, laminate is a good option as it is heat resistant. Laminate is also non porous, which means that it does not have a pore-like surface and water and dirt cannot sink in. This means that a laminate worktop is relatively easy to keep clean.
