Young offenders will be taught how to fit sink accessories after Rixonway Kitchens donated units to Warringtons Thom Cross Prison.A fitted interiors course is being operated by the Open College Network North West Region, enabling offenders to understand how to install kitchen features and gain a selection of important life skills, reports 24Dash.com.Rixonways operations director Nick Greenall said The trade learnt can be used to help with securing employment on release and, according to government statistics, can reduce the risk of re-offending by between a third and a half.It is hoped that the course will help young offenders to access resources that can make a difference to their lives, Mr Greenall added.Build It Magazine has advised that it may be more beneficial for homeowners to invest in their homes, but they should try to ensure that the money they spend will be recouped in a potential sale.
