Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Kitchens in country houses could soon be reclaiming their rights to a classic wood burning stove, according to property experts. The Country Life magazine claimed that wood burning stoves were back in vogue, quickly replacing log-fires as a means of heating rural homes in an efficient way.The magazine said that using wood for heating now made economical and environmental sense, with fuel costs increasing rapidly and pressures for a reduction in environmental impact rising.Country houses, and especially those with large stone-floored kitchens, could be hard to heat, claimed Country Life, with draughty cottages often seeing expensive radiator heating wasted making wood burning stoves a potential solution.Jo Aldridge, of Stacks Property Search Acquisition, told Country Life that fireplaces were not sufficient in themselves, explaining Consider how much fuel (the fireplace) consumes, how little heat it gives out, how much draught it causes, and have a quick reality check.Wood burning stoves are rapidly becoming a preferred option, using less fuel, giving out more heat, causing no draught, and often heating water or cooking in addition to being a simple heat source.ADNFCR-1321-ID-18412537-ADNFCR
