Will Focus DIYs closure impact customers

The closure of over 120 Focus DIY stores should not influence the price or choice of products such as sink accessories for people looking to make home improvements, an expert says.Rather than being representative of the DIY market, the firms closure is instead simply a reflection of the individual company, which was operating in a very difficult retail climate, Homebuilding Renovating has stated.Jason Orme, editor at Homebuilding Renovating, said I suspect very little change for consumers taking on DIY projects. There is still enough competition to keep prices competitive and [there are] good ranges in store. There is actually plenty of competition within the DIY sector for people who are serious about DIY the major chains are still there.Research conducted by FrogTape has shown that two-thirds of men confess that they are more likely to finish DIY jobs themselves rather than gaining assistance from a professional, while one in ten have botched a home improvement task because they are too proud to seek help.
