What is a Hot Water Tap?

Hot Water Taps do exactly that, they provide instant hot water on tap. An elegant addition to your kitchen sink, the hot water tap makes life easier, whether you are making a cup of tea, cleaning a difficult pan or warming a baby’s bottle. All the water is filtered to improve its taste and quality.

Why have a Hot Water tap?

A hot water tap can save you time in the kitchen. It is indispensible for cooks, speeding up preparation times and for the cooking of everything from vegetables to rice and pasta. You’ll be able to make hot drinks in seconds, and save space in your kitchen by throwing away your kettle. All the water that comes out of a Hot Water Tap is filtered to remove chlorine, lead and any other impurities that can make tap water taste less than pleasant, you’ll notice the difference straight away. A hot water tap is cost effective if you drink 5 or more cups of tea a day. If you drink 10 or more cups of tea a day a hot water tap is 18% cheaper than a kettle.

Can a Hot Water Tap be fitted in an existing kitchen?

A hot water tap can easily be fitted to an existing kitchen sink or work surface. Water from the mains feeds via a filter to a 2.5l tank mounted discreetly beneath you sink, where it is then heated to 98C.

How much Hot Water can they dispense?

The tap can deliver approximately 100 cups of 98 C hot water per hour. Using less energy than a 40 watt light bulb.

Is a Hot Water Tap safe?

Yes a hot water tap is safe. It has an ergonomic design and a ‘snap-shut’ safety lever to prevent accidental use. There are no hot kettles to move about either.

Are there any additional benefits?

Some models also come with cold filtered water as well enabling you to have not only hot water, but cold filtered water on tap. The Hot Water is always filtered to prevent damage to the heating chamber and element from impurities in the water.

Are Hot Water Taps expensive?

Not really. Because you only heat the water you use it can be much more economical than a kettle as they are usually overfilled for the quantity of water required.
