Unless you are a talented designer, it can often be difficult to decide on colour schemes when you are making decisions on your kitchen redesign. Although, it might not be seen as an obvious or particularly inventive choice, white has many advantages. A white kitchen can give a light, summery feel and, combined with a dash of blue, can provide a feeling of lightness. If your kitchen is on the small side, you have even more reason to opt for a white dcor as white reflects light and makes a small space appear larger. White is classic and can be easily combined with other materials such dark wood in cabinets or stainless steel appliances like refrigerator, sink, taps and other appliances, to give a kitchen an elegant look. White also makes it easier to spot when your kitchen is in need of a clean, with the satisfaction of seeing gleaming white surfaces as a result. If you are worried that too much white could give the impression of a laboratory or a hospital, decorate your kitchen in undertones of beige or grey and in combination with other colors in a more subdued tone.
