British residents who are finding it challenging to heat their properties can now apply for assistance under the relaunched Warm Front scheme. The programme has been restarted by the Department of Energy and Climate change and will provide help to over 90,000 of the UKs poorest homes over the next two years, meaning that people can use their sink accessories without feeling uncomfortably cold.Energy and climate change secretary Chris Huhne said We have improved the Warm Front scheme so its better targeted at those who need it most, helping around 90,000 households over the next two years. After consultations, the scheme has been amended in order to specifically help people on low incomes. The Warm Fronts relaunch comes after the National Home Improvement Council claimed that more progress is required for British homes to become more sustainable, as many homeowners are not considering green technologies.ADNFCR-1321-ID-800508807-ADNFCR
