A new PVC-free safety flooring has been launched by nora flooring systems.The nora ultra grip has an increased slip resistance, excellent environmental compatibility and is available in a range of colours, the company said yesterday.It is also the first PVC-free safety flooring to meet the requirements of the UK Slip Resistance Group, according to nora.The flooring was tested in accordance with slip tests and is free from PVC, plasticisers and halogens.It has also been given an A rating for environmental compatibility by BRE Environmental Assessment Method.Pudong International Airport in Shanghai has used nora flooring since 1998, with 200 million passengers walking on it in the past ten years.The companys flooring is used at more than 150 airports throughout the world as well as at the Statue of Liberty, Disneyland Los Angeles and the State Gallery in Stuttgart.Shoe components were the first things to be produced by nora in the 1930s, followed by floor coverings in 1949.
