An inefficient or cluttered kitchen can become more streamlined and attractive without major remodelling work, according to one designer.Janine Carendi advises homeowners to assess how they use their kitchen and trim down to the bare necessities, the Dallas Morning News reports.She says unless you have ample storage space, keeping unwanted, worn or damaged items in case they come in handy will only make it harder to conveniently store what you do use.Ms Carendi states The more you know where things are and the more you can see them, the more youll end up using them.She adds that it is vital to put aside old habits that govern where things should be stored.Look beyond what youre accustomed to, Ms Carendi concludes.Research published by Halifax last month revealed that Brits have unused gadgets worth 3.6 billion in their kitchens.Sandwich toasters are the most abandoned gadget, remaining unused by a third (32 per cent) of households that own one.
