Kitchen specialists have claimed that taps are becoming increasingly technologically advanced, thanks to tri-flow models and purification features.The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) claimed that the kitchen mixer tap was leading the way both in terms of style and function.On the style front, a variety of finishes from the top manufacturers were providing mixer taps capable of satisfying bother contemporary and traditional design schemes, it was claimed.But the site added that in terms of functionality, users were presented with a choice between dual-flow models for straightforward hot and cold water delivery, and tri-flow taps, offering a supply of purified water as well as taps with a pull-out spray rinse.Swiss manufacturer Franke is one of the industry leaders in the tri-flow stakes, with the brands Professional range offering water purification facilities as well as hot, cold and mixed water temperature controls.The Franke Triflow products provide all of this with only three handles, as such promising not to take up further space around the sink, while using an advanced ceramic filter for delivery of purified water in a separate channel a measure that ensures no contamination from the hot or cold flow.
