Kitchen taps are one of the sources of lots of water waste, which is becoming an increasingly big issue, the Ecologist believes. The publication has claimed that water is a vital resource and needs to be treated as much, especially in the kitchen.Laura Sevier from the Ecologist suggested that the number of water-hungry devices in the kitchen and home are having a detrimental effect on water supplies, despite the UKs drizzly climate and occasional flooding. She stated Saving water will ensure the water we do get lasts and reduce the pressure on the water supply - as well as on the environment. It is one of the worlds most precious resources, and yet we are using more of it now than ever before.Tips for saving water from kitchen taps include filling up jugs of water and storing them in the fridge rather than running the taps to get a cooler drink.Filling a bowl to wash up as well as clean fruit and vegetables rather than running the tap was another piece of advice.
