The Incredible InSinkErator Steaming Hot Water Tap

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

The results of a survey by leading instant hot water tap manufacturer, In-Sink-Erator, have just been published. The findings make for interesting reading, and could change how we look at the way we use hot water. What the survey shows is that, despite a desire to be environmentally friendly, most people still feel they are using more hot water in the kitchen than is necessary. Here are the key facts at a glance
  • 78percent of people said that concern for the environment is a consideration when planning a new kitchen or appliance.
  • 58percent confess to overfilling their kettles, either through habit, or lack of thought. This not only wastes water, but electricity as well.
  • 66percent of those surveyed admitted that they often run their hot tap unnecessarily, and 20percent said they realised this was costly both financially and to the environment
  • Only 33percent of people claimed to be aware of the financial and environmental impact of wasting hot water.
It seems that one of the key factors as to why people show such disregard for saving hot water, is simple absent-mindedness. As Ashley Munden, Managing Director of Europe InSinkerator states, Our extensive survey was a real eye opener on how water is needlessly wasted by millions of households every day. Many people arent even aware that they are doing it, while those that are put it out of their minds. InSinkErators steaming hot water tap is one of the products which is going to change all that. The competitively priced tap instantly provides filtered hot water at a steaming 98C. It completely eliminates the need for a kettle, and can produce enough hot water to make 100 cups of tea in an hour. Using less energy than a 40 watt light bulb, the InSinkErator is both time saving and energy efficient and will revolutionise the way in which we think about hot water. There are currently four stylish InSinkErator taps on the market, two of which offer hot water only, and two which offer combined hot and cold filtered water. They are easy to install and feature the added advantage that any wiring necessary for their operation may be concealed beneath the work surface. In the years to come, it is likely that InSinkErators innovative products will be at the forefront of kitchen design
