The ceiling is the star of stylish kitchen design

An interior designer focused on altering the appearance of a kitchen ceiling in order to create a stylish and more spacious room.Handyman Mason Hearn told the Richmond Times-Dispatch that one of his specialties is the ceiling or the fifth wall which he described as an often-overlooked opportunity in designing an exciting space.Mr Hearn that many designers often failed to make the most of the ceiling by simply painting it white and changing the lighting.He explained that in one cramped, dark kitchen he was able to open up the space and add natural light by drawing up plans to raise the ceiling by a foot. This enabled Mr Hearn to enlarge windows and remove a portion of a wall.
