Tell kitchen designers what you want

People looking to renovate their kitchens should come to professionals with a strong idea of what they want, it has been urged.Mark Price, a kitchen designer with Bens Flooring Kitchen and Bath Design Center, told news site KeepMeCurrent that people could get the best out of designers if they had their own visions for the kitchen clearly laid out.Mr Price said Too often people come in with no clear ideas. In order to get the best out of your designer, its best if you do some homework first and have some idea of what you want to do and how much you can spend. He added that those willing to get involved with DIY work and set about minor jobs on sinks, taps, flooring and other areas could establish what they really needed designers for, knocking significant amounts off the price of expert help.Mr Price highlighted a present trend where those coming to designers with ideas often demanded ambitious open=kitchen plans, involving the knocking through into other rooms, something designers were open to but would not rush to carry out.Generally speaking we try to work with what a homeowner already has for space, unless its really small and theres not much that can be done, he added.
