Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

A scheme urging people to use the water from kitchen taps instead of bottled water has received an environmental accolade. United Utilities launched the Tap Into Water-Campaign for Real Choice and it received a media and communications prize at the North West Business Environment Awards, Manchester Evening News reports.Head of sustainability at the organisation Chris Matthews said that water from kitchen taps is a fantastic product. People should choose it over bottled water, carry round a re-fillable bottle for life with them and not be afraid to ask for tap water in a restaurant, he added. The initiative was started for environmental reasons when it was discovered that over a billion plastic bottles could be found on landfill sites. For those looking to purify their kitchen tap water, Franke Triflow water filters could be of benefit as they are designed to cleanse water by diverting it through a purification system.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19244196-ADNFCR
