Leading kitchen tap manufacturer Gessi is celebrating its success after exhibiting at ICFF in New York for the first time. The show is North Americarsquos top exhibition for contemporary design which is attended by more than 500 exhibitors and 25,000 visitors. The Gessi stand, at the Javitz Convention Centre in Manhattan, was packed with visitors from the showrsquos start to finish. Visitors included designers, architects, project design team members and design enthusiasts. Gessi took advantage of the ICFF to unveil its stylish Goccia line to North American consumers. Goccia, the brain child of Italian designer and sculptor Prospero Rasulo, was inspired by the shape of a drop of water. Gessi designs with Rasulo are usually minimalist in style and have revolutionized the perception of taps (faucets in the US) from a mere practical plumbing fitting to an object of art. Gessi managing director Luca Poletto says Gessi products spring from creative freedom and a passion for objects liberated from prescribed functions and reinvented for new uses.
