Tap clip-on offers LED-illuminated water

Leading tap manufacturers like Franke, Perrin Roe and Gessi are already transforming modern tap design by adapting the shape and material of their models, but a new product looks to imprint innovation on tap-water itself. The LED faucet light attachment product from ThinkGeek promises to eliminate any potential confusion between hot and cold water, illuminating water from the hot tap with a red LED light. Users of the product will see the light colour change depending on what temperature water is required, providing for a space age if somewhat unappetising burst of red or blue water as people seek a glass of H2O or wash their hands.ThinkGeek offers two different products, one offering changing red and blue LED light and another providing constant blue light, with both functioning by clipping onto the end of existing taps and turning on once the water flows. The product is said to be ideal for nightclubs, or for childrens bathrooms, where learning the difference between hot and cold may be boosted by a colour-coding system extending beyond tap handles.
