Kitchen design enthusiasts may be looking for lower-energy versions of gadgets like a waste disposal unit, comments made by Apropos Jason Pardesi may indicate. He said there are many questions home-deco lovers should ask when looking for sustainable items, such as how much energy does it use and how much was taken to make and transport it, how long will it last and can it be reused or recycled. The sustainability issue has had an effect on interior design ... manufacturers are aware that people think that they need to buy products that have been produced in an ecologically sound way, Mr Pardesi commented. He went on to suggest that for people who can afford them, solar water heaters should be used to fill those eco-designed kitchen sinks. The Daily Telegraph has reported that thousands of people are on waiting lists for green architects and developers.
