Stainless steel sink adds sparkle to kitchen

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

An interior designer decided to install a stainless steel kitchen sink during one of her remodelling projects in order to add a touch of sparkle to the room, it has been revealed.Decorator Candice Olson, host of HGTVs Divine Design show, noted that the kitchen in question had not been altered in 12 years and was dated and dim as a result. There was nothing worth keeping in this space, so we gutted the room down to bare walls and began rebuilding it into a dream kitchen, she added in a column for Evansville Courier Press.Ms Olson noted that because the kitchen was connected to the family room, she had opted for a colour scheme that flowed seamlessly between the spaces. This consisted of a palette of tan, ebony, silvery grey-blue and stainless steel.Indeed, Ms Olson drew attention to the impact of the stainless steel kitchen sink and appliances, noting that they served to brighten up a room that was positively starving for attention.Meanwhile, a recent article in the Wall Street Journal suggested that kitchen designs are still influenced by the labour saving, efficient changes that first came to the fore in the 1920s and 30s.
