Spring clean your kitchen sink

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

A dietician has warned of the importance of ensuring that kitchen sinks are left spotless, adding that spring is the perfect time to start your kitchen cleaning routine. Writing for the Cleveland Star Nancy Jones says that it is vital that bacteria is removed from the sink and countertops both for hygiene reasons and to keep it looking clean. Now is a great time to target harmful bacteria that can be lingering on kitchen surfaces and even in your refrigerator, she said.Salmonella, Staphylococcus, E coli and Listeria are just some of the bacteria that may be in your kitchen.Ms Jones recommends cleaning the kitchen sink drain and waste disposal unit once or twice a week by pouring a solution of one teaspoon of chlorine bleach mixed in water down the drain. Food particles get trapped in the drain and disposal, creating the perfect environment for bacterial growth, she said. ADNFCR-1321-ID-18535655-ADNFCR
