Sink range with the Midas touch

Somewhat appropriately named for one of the worlds most successful sink manufacturers, Midas is a brand new sink range launched this month by Franke. Combining style with affordability, the Midas sink range joins the Franke Pro-Value collection, expanding its range of sinks with the Slim-Top low-profile edging. The Midas has all the easy installation benefits of an inset sink and is compatible with a range of worktop materials. It particularly complements laminate work surfaces and gives the appearance of a flushmount. Based on geometric design lines and available in Silk finish stainless steel, the square styling and 25mm radii of the internal sink corners give the Midas a sleek look. A useful feature is the integrated tap ledge at the rear of the sink, providing practical space. Two bowl options are available for 600mm cabinets. The single bowl option has an extra-spacious bowl measuring 550 x 400 x 190mm, while the one and a half bowl has the functionality of two bowls which measure 340 x 400 x 175mm and 160 x 400 x 130mm. Optional accessories are available, including a stainless steel strainer bowl and wooden chopping board which sits on the ledge surround and can be slid from side to side. Says Steve Rutter, Marketing Operations Manager, Franke UK said Midas is a versatile design that will suit a range of kitchen styles without dating. The Slim-Top profile is an increasingly popular style of inset sink especially when used with laminate worksurfaces, making it an appealing choice for the consumer looking for designer style and affordability.
