Sink plumbing must form part of kitchen triangle

Considering where to place a sink should be a key aspect of kitchen design, one expert has said.As the New Year typically sees an increase in home renovation, consumers should bear a number of things in mind when planning a new kitchen. In his You Can Do It Yourself column in the Staten Island Advance, Michael Presutti said that the main thing for a successful kitchen is a well-planned kitchen triangle. He advised that the legs of the triangle should not exceed 27 feet and suggested that homeowners consider making room for a microwave in the design. However, he said added that accommodating the current place of the sink and oven within the triangle will help to keep costs down.Try as hard as you can in your design to keep from having to move the stove and the sink, the DIY expert said. Once you get into these situations, costs start to zoom. If you can get the triangle to fit, thats wonderful, but if you cant, remember moving things can get really expensive. Planning kitchen sink plumbing in advance will also prove beneficial, as Mr Presutti highlights that mistakes on a drawing board are as expensive as the eraser tip on a pencil, but mistakes in the real world can cost you thousands.
