The initiative gives British householders eight steps to follow which will help them on their way to having an environmentally-friendly kitchen.Among the advice on offer is recycling kitchen waste, buying energy-efficient kitchen gadgets and creating a kitchen garden. Also recommended is composting, buying green products such as organic food and ensuring that appliances such as kettles, toasters and cookers are switched off. The campaign also states that using non-toxic cleaning chemicals to get rid of dirt on kitchen sinks, bins and waste disposal units can also reduce the impact on the environment. Anjum Ahmed, Magnet head of marketing, said Wilde was an ideal ambassador for the campaign due to her passion for her children, the family, ethical living, cooking and the garden.
