Homeowners can streamline their kitchen sink area by removing clutter and using multi-functional products and appliances, it has been claimed.Rebecca Kolls, senior director and consumer strategist of homes and gardens at Iconoculture, noted that the make under - whereby a room is simplified and scaled back - is a trend that has come to challenge the more traditional makeover.A make under can not only make your space more simplified and efficient, but also alleviate a lot of the stress that accompanies a typical home-improvement project, she told NorthJersey.com.Ms Kolls argued that the kitchen sink is one area that can benefit from a make under by having clutter like soap dispensers, hand sanitisers, lotion, water filters, dish soap and sponges removed.Instead, the specialist urged homeowners to use as many multi-functional products and appliances as possible so as to keep the area tidy and more efficient.Meanwhile, a recent US study by Californias Los Angeles County found that only 61 per cent of home kitchens would get an A or B if subjected to a restaurant inspection while at least 14 per cent would fail by not even getting a C.
