Rubber kitchen sink could put an end to broken plates

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Researchers are developing rubber kitchen sinks that could put an end to worries about broken glasses and crockery. As the Guardian reports, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is currently working on a project to devise the next 100 years of the kitchen. It quoted the mission statement of MITs Counter Intelligence project, which claims that kitchens remain dangerous and messy places and in a world that is increasingly vying for our attention, we are abandoning the hearth for a meal on the run. MIT therefore aims to reverse this trend to make the kitchen the centre of family life by providing technologies that improve functionality and engage us cognitively and socially. This includes using internet connections to control appliances and installing sensors to protect homeowners from fire or poisons, the newspaper said. For the super-safe rubber kitchen sink, it was noted that MIT is designing models that are as soft as human flesh but can withstand hundreds of degrees Celsius in temperature.Meanwhile, an article by House of Area Rugs this week claimed that homeowners can update their kitchens with stylish and affordable looks by choosing the right flooring.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19864172-ADNFCR
