Removable kitchen sinks are now among the various appliances and fixtures that allow homeowners to live in a more eco-friendly way.Julian Martin of Eat, Drink and Be notes that as terms like sustainable and green have become more popular, the amount of eco-friendly kitchen equipment being introduced has also grown too.Commenting on removable kitchen sinks, he observed that many environmentally-conscious consumers avoid using a dishwasher in favour of washing items by hand in order to save energy and water.Unfortunately, a full-sinks worth of water is often wasted after each use and sent down the drain, he added.Mr Martin said that a removable sink enables the homeowner to lift the basin and recycle the water for another purpose.He also stated that people who use biodegradable washing up liquid can then use the sink to water plants as well.Earlier this week, Jo Adetunji of the Guardian argued that people should think carefully about the available space in their kitchen when buying a new fridge.
