A design blogger has identified a wide range of new luxury kitchen appliances including refrigerator drawers and wine chillers.Mary MacVean of the Los Angeles Times reported on a recent appliance exhibition in the US. She noted that the refrigerator drawer on show could be fitted into a kitchen counter for easy access. She also said the chilling performance of the wine storage pieces could be altered by setting one temperature for the top third and another for the bottom two-thirds. Ms MacVean identified the other temptations at the exhibition as a warming drawer that can be installed alongside the oven and fryers and steamers that are set into the stove top.She noted that the appliances had been made to appear particularly attractive because they had been set up alongside kitchen sinks and work surfaces.Referring to a refrigerator feature, Ms MacVean added One nice feature was a plastic card that slips into a space near the produce doors and details how to care for the appliance and the optimal way to keep food fresh no milk on the door fruit, not beer, in the fruit drawer.Interior designer William MacDonald recently told TheStar.com that homeowners can make their kitchens more trendy by swapping their existing kitchen sinks and taps with burnished copper alternatives.
