Ras Al Khaimah ruler opens Franke facility at RAK Industrial Zone

Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah , His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, has inaugurated the second Dh30 million investment project of Franke LLC at Ras Al Khaimah Industrial Zone. His Highness said Ras Al Khaimah and Franke share a common factor sustainability - and the new facility sets a model of environmental awareness and operational and industrial efficiency within Ras Al Khaimah and beyond. Environmental cost will gain increasing significance in doing businesses in decades to come. Shaikh Saud toured the new facility together with Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Free Zones, Walter Deplazes, Swiss Consul General in Dubai, Michael Pieper, President and CEO of Franke Artemis Group and heads of local departments. The new expansion includes a new energy efficient building, a production site with new technologies, a new logistic centre and new training facilities, showroom and offices. The development follows an original investment of Dh50m to found Franke LLC in RAK. President and CEO of Franke Artemis Group Michael Pieper said the group had built the factory in just ten months thanks to the significant resources available in Ras Al Khaimah. He said the new facility was expected to raise the groups sales to Dh600 million in five years and to more than Dh1b in the longer term.
