They gathered together to celebrate the opening of the new Belling Hospitality Training Centre at Dumfries House Estate, designed around giving students practical hospitality training experience and helping them to develop their skills within the industry. The custom built, brand new training facility, lavishly sponsored by Bellings parent company, Glen Dimplex, comes equipped with a top of the range training kitchen and restaurant full of all the latest high tech Belling products. Whether you are training for work in a restaurant or a hotel, or just want an one day course experience, Bellings new hospitality training centre is fully prepared to cater to your needs. Whilst he was visiting, Prince Charles met up with the young people taking part in The Princes Trust Get Into Hospitality programme, which has been delivered in tandem with Dumfries House for the last 18 months. The five week training course targets young people aged sixteen to twenty five and offers the essentials in food preparation and food hygiene skills as well as training n the front of house side of things, such as housekeeping and barista training. The youths who take part in the Get Into programme will spend time at local venues, training to complete the course with an REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Certificate. Chief Executive of Glen Dimplex home appliances, Denver Hewlett said: "The Princes Trust is a fantastic charity and one we are very proud to be associated with. The new facility at Dumfries House is exceptional and will provide unemployed young people with an inspirational learning environment."
