Kitchens can look good as well as being practical, according to Sarasota magazine. The publication took a look round the new kitchen of prominent restaurateur Micheal Klauber and was impressed with what it saw.For Mr Klauber and his family, entertaining is an important part of everyday life and they were keen to create the right flow in their kitchen. They positioned a bar sink at one end of a long countertop which is filled with ice so at parties people can grab a drink, pull up a barstool next to the countertop and talk to Mr Klauber while he cooks. When it comes to cooking, the kitchen has a centre island containing a six-burner cooktop with plenty of surrounding space to accommodate the food preparation demonstrations Mr Klaubert does for friends. As well as these practical details, the kitchen also has a number of design features which make it stand out aesthetically, the magazine claims.Chief among these is a 300-gallon saltwater fish-tank containing a shark, eel and lion fish.Meanwhile, the Macon County News has said homeowners should not undertake a kitchen refit without thorough preparation.
