Pot Noodles have long been a favourite feature in UK kitchens, but now the convenient snack brand is offering to change one kitchen to a much greater extent.The brand is offering one lucky reader of the Sun newspaper the chance to spend 3,000 on a kitchen revamp, with the budget promising enough leeway for facilities fit for more than Pot Noodle preparation.The Sun claimed that in 1977, when Pot Noodles came into being, an average mum would have to devote seven hours a week to household chores, making items of kitchen simplicity like the instant noodle snack a welcoming innovation.Optimising kitchen design is one way of saving time in the cooking area, and with average household chores now claimed to take up only four hours and 15 minutes per week.Kitchen revamps can themselves be time consuming, but in true Pot Noodle spirit, sink manufacturer Franke has offered home enthusiasts an instant solution, with its mounted Laser range sinks.The patented Franke Slimfix System used in the range employs fixing clips to automatically grip the worktop, which the brand claims will spare people the time-consuming task of fixing screws beneath the sink leaving more time for an extra Pot Noodle.
