Porshe Design group has designed a kitchen for the male market having joining forces with German firm Poggenpohl. The kitchen has been created specifically to appeal to men rather than women and will be available from spring of this year.Features which the designers say have been made with men in mind include the touch-open mechanism, which allows users to open cupboards and cookers without pulling a handle. All the electrical appliances have touch sensitive buttons and have been finished with glass fascias. To complete the look, the kitchen has also been fitted with an audio-video system with built-in LCD screen.Prices will start at around 20,000 for the kitchen which the firm says is aimed at reflecting prosperity and status rather than just being a nice place to cook. The firm has been designing kitchen utensils and taps since 1997 but this is the first time it has offered a whole kitchen for sale.
