There is currently a growing trend for personalisation when it comes to kitchen sinks, experts have indicated.Elkay, a kitchen electrical firm, has suggested that unique, design orientated sinks are being sought by people looking to show off their personalities through their kitchens.Ann Rottinghaus, marketing communications manager for Elkay, told Kitchen and Bath Design News that there is also a trend for more professional kitchen design.Among the latest requirements [for kitchen sinks] are granite surfaces, just like those that top chefs around the world use, she stated.Ms Rottinghaus went on to say that personalisation is taking the form of a stylish sense of movement and soft warmth, with kitchen sinks often being curved at the moment.In addition, a move towards environmentally friendly products, such as stainless steel kitchen sinks, which are 100 per cent recyclable, has been identified.Kitchen and Bath Design News has noted that the popularity of stainless steel kitchen sinks is continuing to rise.
