By Sarah BrownPeople want to make a softer statement with their kitchen design at the moment, it has been claimed.According to a report from Kitchen and Bath Design News, people want to create a relaxed space where they can entertain friends, but are still not willing to sacrifice high-spec appliances such as stainless steel kitchen sinks.People still want the feeling of a professional kitchen, but they now desire it in a softer statement in order to keep the space comfortable and warm, rather than [doing] an entire [pro-style] kitchen, Tim Maicher, director of marketing for Blanco America, told the news provider. Maintaining warmth and personality in the kitchen is high on the design checklist for todays consumers.He added that one area where people still want a professional look is the kitchen sink area, noting that simple, clean sink and faucet styles remain popular.Last week, Laurie Ann McMillin Ray told La Jolla Light that people should fill their kitchens with accessories that make them feel good.
