People are using more colour in homes

People are beginning to experiment with more colourful units alongside their kitchen sinks, an interior designer has claimed. There was a popular trend of using beige and taupe within homes as people searched for a sleek hotel look, though they are now taking a more colourful approach to design, Adrienne Chinn has emphasised. The interior designer said Peoples homes should be [about] the people who live in them. People are learning to trust their own instincts more with regard to colour and pattern and what they like. Ms Chinn added that the idea of placing certain things in certain places has gone and now people are seeking a more personal look for their homes. Prior to her remarks, the Daily Mail reported that tribal prints are becoming popular for property owners in 2011, which blend in effectively with carved wood, metals and bold colour patterns.
