Only professionals should fit underfloor heating

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Underfloor heating may seem an ideal solution to heating small kitchens or keeping walls free of radiators, but an energy industry body has warned installation should be left for the professionals.Brightening up a kitchen with new taps or drawer handles may be a weekend DIY job for some people, but Hetas chief executive Bruce Allen has said a bigger water project like an underfloor heating system is not an easy job for someone without specialist training.Mr Allen said Its unlikely that someone without considerable specialist knowledge and experience could design and provide the very best of underfloor systems. He explained that there are regulations to comply with and calculations to do to ensure no expensive mistakes are made. Youd want a very experienced, able and competent company, Mr Allen concluded. Nevertheless, DIYers and people with little cash to spare can still update their kitchens with accessories such as soap dispensers from Franke and Carron Phoenix. ADNFCR-1321-ID-18749690-ADNFCR
