North Bransholme home improvement scheme produces jobs

A large-scale home improvement programme on a Riverside estate in North Bransholme may boost the efficiency of peoples sink accessories while creating job vacancies for residents in the region.Riverside is spending a total of 15 million over the next five years in an attempt to renovate 1,184 homes in the community.Dean Taylor, David Prescott and Alex Hewitt are three local homeowners who have begun permanent work for asbestos specialist Rhoda, which paid for their training.In addition, heating contractor Aqua Interiors will be recruiting bricklayers and heating engineers among other workers in the coming months.Carl Mitchell, Riversides housing manager, said Riverside always aims to provide jobs for local people and we will continue to work with contractors to identify future job opportunities.Residents in East Durham can also look forward to new house renovations after the Peterlee Mail reported that a 20 million home improvement package has been confirmed by East Durham Homes.
