Kitchens can enjoy a splash of colour thanks to a new range of bright refrigerators launched by Smeg.The new fridge-freezers are described as having clean minimalist lines and slim shape, making them suitable for smaller kitchens, by the Appliancist website.Coming in deep red, bright orange or blue, they could be described as stylish accessories for a kitchen.They have a 351 litre total capacity and Smeg claims the energy rating is good enough to save money on electric bills.There is a Super Freeze option, separate electronic temperature controls, three internal neon lights and a chrome wine rack, as well as a removable chrome pizza/ice cube tray for the freezer.Prices are around 1,800.The Independent recently offered advice on updating a kitchen inexpensively.It suggested hanging planters, bringing in a mix of chairs rather than a matching set and changing the handles on the doors of the cupboards and drawers.Painting cupboards was another option.
