A new kitchen appliance has been developed to offer homeowners the chance to create their own authentic, high quality hot chocolate.Cambridge Design Partnerships (CDP) Maya Machine aims to address the shortfall between the growing demand for hot chocolate and the poor flavours created by current, powder-based options, one of the companys design specialists said.Dr Paul Scott commented There has been a growing appreciation of quality eating chocolate and also a boom in demand for the drink at high street outlets. This has increased dissatisfaction with the home made beverage. The powder can be difficult to mix and the result is often watery, over sweet and without that authentic flavour or richness.CDPs Maya Machine is therefore an alternative home espresso machine which uses steamed fresh milk and special pods of real chocolate to create the drink.It also boasts a sleek and stylish design which would look good on a worktop alongside a stainless steel kitchen sink or set of taps.
