An interior designer has said that she kept a kitchen design simple and neutral to allow owners to put their own mark on the room.Jenny Martin explained her design choices for a stylish townhouse while speaking to Canada.com. She said it was important that owners felt able to make their own changes.I wanted the design to be neutral so that owners could layer and play up their own ideas, Ms Martin told the news provider. The idea was to give people a blank canvas and not something where people would feel locked into a particular style.Ms Martin made some simple, practical additions to the room which included installing ceiling-high cabinets and a walk-in pantry.Stylish stone countertops and stainless appliances were also used to make a feature of the kitchen sink area.Design expert Cyril de Leon recently wrote on Mb.com.ph that the ideal kitchen now requires consideration of a combination of factors based on a curious blend of science, functionality and aesthetics.
