Homeowners can update their kitchens and create the illusion of more space by painting the walls in neutral colours, a commentator has said.John Fedro, a writer for the Bigger Pockets blog, said that repainting walls can improve the appearance of a home at minimal cost.He advised homeowners who are considering selling their property in the near future to use neutral colours.A nice clean neutral or off-white primer covering the walls will unify the home, clean up the walls and leave a blank canvas for the new homeowner to imagine their favorite colors, said Mr Fedro.Elsewhere, he noted that linoleum tiling is a cheap, durable option for people who wish to resurface their kitchen floor.Earlier this month, Diana Schrage, an interior designer for the Kohler Design Center in the US, told JSOnline that people can quickly change the appearance of their kitchens by replacing features like taps, hardware or cabinetry. She suggested that kitchen taps can be both sculptural and practical, creating a vibrant focal point in a room.
