A kitchen, which was designed using movie characters as inspiration, has won a prestigious award. According to the Los Angeles Times, the award from the US National Kitchen and Bath Association was handed to DeWitt Talmadge Beall of DeWitt Designer Kitchens in Studio City.He and his co-designer Hye Won Lee decided to base the room on the characters of a movie script, with one star and a supporting cast. The pair said that in the kitchen, the central character is the curved Mappa Burl veneer counter top, which is positioned right in the centre of the room and has two wing-like triangular sides. This main feature is supported by matching cabinets which are fitted in an L-shape in the formerly brick-lined room. These cabinets boast dark green granite tops and are complemented by other luxury features including a huge skylight and oversized widescreen television. The National Kitchen and Bath Association says that the kitchen and bathroom are the most important in the home and reflect your lifestyle and personality.ADNFCR-1321-ID-18466134-ADNFCR
