Most people now consider energy efficiency when buying kitchen appliances, according to a new survey. Hoover Candy has found that most consumers believe energy efficiency of new kitchen purchases is vital to their purchasing decisions with 74 percent saying an energy rating of A+ is essential. The Mintel Washers and Dryers Report 2012 reveals a further 60 percent say a water-saving mode is crucial. Thirty-seven percent of respondents revealed they planned to purchase an energy-efficient appliance this year. With dishwashers saving up to 75percent of the water from washing up with a sink and tap, it is easy to see the attraction of energy efficient appliances.
