More women are becoming kitchen DIY dabblers

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

An increasing number of women are beginning to take on DIY projects in the kitchen, it has been suggested. Females could be encouraged to do painting jobs or refit new taps because it is a good way of saving money or they may wish to break gender stereotypes, the Times reports. According to the news source, Sarah Dowding is one such individual and she estimated that she has saved tens of thousands of pounds by fully renovating her 220,000 Victorian three-bedroom cottage in Hampshire. Admitting that she did not want to use cowboy builders, Ms Dowding refitted her kitchen completely and also installed new plumbing. She said The house was dated and needed a lot of work I just thought Well, surely I can do the work myself.Earlier this month, Cindy Lee Bergersen - writing for Hamptons.com - explained that all kitchen renovations need to be planned carefully to ensure their dream project does not end up costing a fortune.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19318705-ADNFCR
