Built-in ovens are a more viable choice than range cookers for many kitchen revamps, but choosing a fitted model does not mean losing out on quality, according to the Kitchen Bedroom and Bathroom magazine (KBB).The integrated and streamlined look of built-on ovens has always made them popular on aesthetic grounds, it was claimed, but advanced cooking technology does not have to be sacrificed in order to save space.Kitchens featuring a built-in oven are often likely to contain other elements of compact kitchen design, requiring an optimisation of limited countertop space and space-efficient kitchen sinks such as the Astracast Spacesaver model.Interior design specialist Vikings Nigel Jacobs, told KBB Theres a lot to like about the latest generation of built-in ovens. The cooking technology is sophisticated, energy usage is efficient and there are some very generously proportioned ovens available. And if space is at a premium, a well-appointed built-in oven with a range top is a much better solution for an urban apartment and will give just as much versatility as bigger cooking appliances.
