Many kitchens would fail health inspection test

A significant proportion of home kitchens would fail the kind of health inspection tests commonly used to administer restaurants, new research shows. The US study by Californias Los Angeles County found that only 61 per cent of home kitchens would get an A or B if subjected to a restaurant inspection while at least 14 per cent would fail by not even getting a C.I would say if they got below a C, Im not sure I would like them to invite me to dinner, commented Dr Jonathan Fielding, director of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.According to the Associated Press, the finding stands in contrast to the vast majority of Los Angeles County restaurants (98 per cent) which get A or B scores every year.Homeowners wishing to spruce up their properties should ensure they regularly clean their kitchen sinks and taps. A recent article by Readers Digest urged people to avoid letting fruit, vinegar, salad dressing or other acidic foods linger on the surface of a porcelain enamel sink. ADNFCR-1321-ID-800051483-ADNFCR
