Make the most of your kitchen storage space

As Christmas approaches and the kitchen becomes the focus of the festivities and the prospect of new gadgets, whatever the size of your kitchen, finding enough storage space for items such as food processors and mixers can often be difficult. Many kitchen appliances considered a necessity these days can be awkward to store, thanks to their odd shapes. It can also be a challenge to store items so that they are easily accessible. Almost every kitchen has wasted storage space but some planning and forethought can make a big difference. If your kitchen is small, consider fitting extra long wall cabinets and install a cabinet over the refrigerator. Keep appliances and equipment used more frequently at the front of cabinets where they can be easily reached. To help you there are plenty of wire racking to slide out, pull round or rotate to maximise the sue of your cupboard space. Find space as well under the sink by using space saving plumbing kits so the pipework does not take up valuable room in the cupboard. If you currently store items in your kitchen that are rarely used, or perhaps are only brought out for annual celebrations, consider whether it would be better to store them elsewhere in the home.
