Make a feature with a kitchen sink and splashback

Homeowners looking for a way to brighten up their kitchens may want to consider a new sink, taps and splashback. According to the Canadian Press, a splashback known as a backsplash in North America can be used to create drama through colour, pattern and texture and there are endless choices for finishes. Those with a smaller budget may want to opt for water-reistant paint in dramatic colours such as red, or blue and white checks. A new sink and tap set need not break the bank either, with a range of stainless steel, affordable designs from County kitchen sinks. For a slightly larger budget, tiles are a popular choice for splashbacks as they are easy to clean and there is a huge variety of colours, shapes and sizes available. This is a more permanent option than paint but can be very effective, particularly teamed with a stylish sink. A black and white tile design is a classic option that can complement a traditional stainless steel sink from County, a white design from the Franke ceramic sinks range or even a slick black design from Astracast.
